Dr. Rania Al-Subaie

Board-certified dermatologist with 13 years applying evidence-based skin science to longevity medicine — treating the skin as a biomarker of systemic health, not just a surface concern.

Dr. Rania Al-Subaie

Dr. Al-Subaie completed her dermatology residency at King Khalid University Hospital before spending two years in Vancouver completing a fellowship in cosmetic and laser dermatology at the University of British Columbia. On returning to Riyadh she chose precision longevity medicine over conventional aesthetics — convinced that the most meaningful work in dermatology is understanding why skin ages, not masking the signs.

At Smart Santé she leads the skin longevity assessment: a detailed examination of photoageing indicators, skin barrier integrity, melanin regulation, collagen density assessment by reflectance confocal microscopy, and cross-referencing with the patient's inflammatory and hormonal biomarker panels. She designs both the clinical intervention and the evidence-based skincare protocol that accompanies it.

Dr. Al-Subaie is a founding member of the Saudi Dermato-Oncology Study Group and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Saudi Society of Dermatology. She is a frequent invited speaker on the role of systemic inflammation in accelerated skin ageing, and holds that the conversation between the dermatologist and the internist is one of the most underutilised collaborations in preventive medicine.

A Note From Dr. Rania Al-Subaie

"Skin is the most visible organ and the one most people dismiss as cosmetic. In precision medicine it is a readout — of inflammation, hormonal status, and biological age."
